We brought our family of 7 to Winter Island Park to enjoy October in Salem.
We stayed in the RV field and appreciated how secluded it was. The view from the waterfront sites through was stunning! A perfect view to watch sunset. We walked around and our kid’s had a blast finding crabs at the beach. I would highly recommend!
My sister and I were road-tripping through New England this week and had such a lovely stay here! Dave (the manager) went above and beyond to make sure we had a safe spot to camp in our car even though I called very last minute and they were extra busy because of Labor Day. Him and the rest of the staff were so kind, and the views in the morning were absolutely beautiful! I’m already planning another trip to New England and will be stopping here again!
Stayed here while visiting Salem for 2 nights, we were a little nervous as it is an Unconventional campground but it works and is great. We had site 52 in the RV field. Great site as it was on the end next to a bank so you really only have one neighbor on your backside. Field sites were good and the parking lot sites were a little different but didn’t look too bad and offered great views of the harbor. Campground offered cool historic sites to see, nice beach to cool off in and explore. Found lots of hermit and spider crabs at low tide. Beautiful sunrises. Office staff is very nice and helpful with the area. Salem trolley comes by and you can flag them down for a ride into town if they have room. Otherwise it’s a short drive or walk. If your wanting to visit Salem and have a cheap stay I would recommend This camp ground, we would definitely stay here again. My only complaint is getting there is a bit of a pain but that’s Salem for you.
This park was close to Salem and in a beautiful location. It had showers and flushing toilets. They aren't close to all camping locations if you have any disabilities, but it's only about a 5 minute walk. It also has full RV hookups and waste disposal. Each RV site had its own picnic table. The staff was kind and helpful.
Great place to stay in Salem! Easy access to the town, the owner gave great recommendations. Bathrooms are clean and have showers. Absolutely beautiful views from the shore, lots of cool things to see on the property.
What a surprising find !! The waterfront sites are in a huge parking lot but the sites back up to the water and the marina for a beautiful view. Water and electric (30 amp) . Fire pits are available to rent. Sites are mostly level. The bathroom and showers are clean. Good cell service with Verizon and ATT. Close (10 min) to Salem.
We camped on the waterfront, the views were amazing. Beautiful sunrise from the beach. Staff was very kind and helpful. The location was great, it was a quick taxi ride to downtown Salem.
Great campground! The sites are pretty large and are well maintained for what they are. Definitely will be coming back again. The only downfall is waste disposal is off site which makes long stays annoying but nothing to not visit over.
